I was in my favorite park taking photos of very early Springtime, when the season hasn’t happened yet, but is just peeking around the corner. Got a great shot of a bloom on a tree. Made a painting of it. Scanned the painting and enhanced it digitally. This digital painting is the result of this 3-step process.

It’s an abstract floral painting with bold, vibrant colors—very different from the fragile awakening flower in my original photo. I was feeling the potential of the season yet to come. The strength and beauty of Spring in full bloom that brings joy and the sense of renewal.
